The working principle of the traditional air cushion belt conveyor is to use a centrifugal fan to send pressurized air into the air chamber, and enter the space between the belt and the disc groove through the air holes on the disc groove of the air chamber, forming a uniform air film with a certain thickness, which is also figuratively called an air cushion. Since this air film is air with a certain pressure, it can hold up the running belt above, so that there is no direct friction between the belt and the disc groove, thereby greatly reducing the resistance and significantly reducing the power of the driving motor. Compared with ordinary roller belt conveyors, its running resistance is mainly the shear force between the air and the belt, so it can significantly reduce friction and power consumption; during operation, the belt runs smoothly in the disc groove, without ups and downs, and no leakage; the belt speed is high and the transportation volume is large; the middle section is entirely supported by the air chamber to carry the belt and materials, there are no wearing parts and lubrication points, which also fully reflects the advantage of fewer maintenance points. With the improvement of manufacturing technology and the diversification of processing methods, our company (Recens) has redesigned a new fully enclosed air cushion machine. On the basis of ensuring that the equipment is fully enclosed, the fan extracts air in the space between the upper plate slot cover and the material, and after filtering and processing, it is pressurized by the fan and provided to the air chamber to form an air cushion. The air in the air chamber can always be kept circulating to ensure that the gas and dust emitted by the conveyed material do not leak out, thereby meeting environmental protection requirements. In addition, if there is a dust removal wind net in the working area, the dust removal wind net can also be connected to form a negative pressure between the plate slot cover and the material, so that there is no gas and dust overflow, meeting environmental protection requirements.
The characteristics of this new fully enclosed air cushion machine are summarized as follows:
